Hello. I was born in Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, put up in Lillian Wald Projects by and with my parents shortly thereafter, sent to and through the public school system under the care of dodgy principals and chain-smoking instructors who had a penchant for cursing at students as a fun-filled pastime, and was taken in by a popular and, in some circles, well-respected, art school to be kicked out just a few months later. At twenty-one I gathered my satchel of pop-injected fuel only to be nabbed by New York City authorities, but escaped when my broom and bucket took off into a coqui-filled sky. In the back-alleys of Rincón I learned several languages by reading cigarette advertisements in the cemented shopping district and left Puerto Rico atop the wing of a borrowed airline's sound barrier. I became stranded on Manhattan island, where people wake up with big lips. I mistook it for a Minas Gerais loading dock so I jumped free and was able to glide across the warm updrafts using a parachute made from curly hair and bodega awnings. I landed in Cotesbach, on a cow pile. After a brief stint there I got tangled up with some proper locals and vocal yokels and so began my exodus across hills of varying height along two sides of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
